Why Am I Selling It?
I won't sugar coat it - I bought the new Kenwood TH-D75A. But, let me say this - the Kenwood TH-D75A is not a revolutionary upgrade over the TH-D74A. They're practically the same radio - in terms of features and build quality.
The only features the D75 has that the D74 does not are:
- APRS Digipeating support - digipeating does nothing for the owner of the HT - it only benefits those within the coverage area of the HT.
- D-Star Reflector Mode
- USB-C Charging
Technical Mumbo Jumbo
The Kenwood TH-D74A is a tri-band handheld transceiver that covers 144/220/430 MHz.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY supports APRS like Kenwood does! Bob Bruninga worked directly with Kenwood on their APRS implementation. It is the gold standard.
And, in my opinion, Kenwood does a better job supporting D-Star than Icom does!

I'm the original owner of everything you see in the pictures.
Everything is in VERY good condition! I take very good care of all of my ham radio gear. All items in this listing have been treated very delicately and everything is problem free!
The antenna and power supply are in mint condition. The official Kenwood battery is less than one year old.
There are minor scratches on the glass that goes over the display. If it is something you feel like you want/can do, you can replace the part yourself with an original JVC/Kenwood replacement part available from PacParts for $15.74:
